Research Divisions & Centers
The Office of Materials and Devices Research Strategies plays a leading role in the “Materials-Light-Life-Mathematics Complex Science Research Area”, for which the Research Institute for Electronic Science (RIES), Hokkaido University is responsible within the Network Joint Research Center for Materials and Devices (NJRC). This center, established in FY2010, is jointly operated by five institutes: the RIES, Hokkaido University; the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM), Tohoku University; the Laboratory for Chemistry and Life Science, Institute of Integrated Research, Institute of Science Tokyo; the SANKEN, The University of Osaka; and the Institute for Materials Chemistry and Engineering (IMCE), Kyushu University. The office consists of the Area Chair, Vice Chair, and Area Coordinators. For details, please refer to the NJRC website (https://five-star.sanken.osaka-u.ac.jp/)
