Research Divisions & Centers
This collaborative research division was established to foster the growth of emerging interdisciplinary research that bridges the humanities and sciences. Its purpose is to create a regular forum for dialogue aligned with the developmental stages from the germination phase to the growth phase. The Research Center of Mathematics for Social Creativity (MSC) at RIES aims to promote research and educational exchange throughout the institute by inviting joint-appointment faculty members from the Center for Human Nature, Artificial Intelligence, and Neuroscience (CHAIN).
We are currently engaging in discussions with Prof. Shigeru Taguchi, Director of CHAIN and a joint-appointment faculty member of this collaborative research division, on the topic of “Phenomenology of Human and Primitive Intelligence.” Joint research projects between the MSC’s affiliated faculty and CHAIN members have also begun, and we are collaborating to cultivate the emerging seeds of interdisciplinary research.
