The HU-PNU Symposium on Functional Materials Science was held on January 11-12, 2024, at the Research Institute for Electronic Science, Hokkaido University. This symposium was jointly organized by the BK21 Program of Pusan National University (PNU) in Korea and the Research Institute for Electronic Science (RIES).
Prof. Lee of PNU and Prof. Hiromichi Ohta of RIES gave opening remarks. Prof. Kuniharu Ijiro, Director of RIES, then introduced RIES to the participants.
The symposium featured invited talks by Professors Kazuki Nagashima and Yasutaka Matsuo of RIES, and Professor Jong Mok Ok of PNU, as well as oral and poster presentations by researchers and students from both universities, who engaged in lively discussions.
Laboratory tours were held on two separate days. Researchers and students from PNU visited the Clean Room of RIES and Laboratory of Functional Thin Film Materials.
