| 4.Online Application Procedures |
You must pay the screening fee through the online application system and submit the application documents.
Application process is as follows.
- The approval from the supervisor．
- Contact the Research Cooperation Section Northern Campus Area Joint Administration Hokkaido University (k-kenkyo[at]jimu.hokudai.ac.jp) and receive a site address and ID required to use the online application system.
- Pay the screening fee through the online application system. You can also complete the application form by filling out the form.
- Send the application documents to the Northern Campus Area Joint Administration (see below).

- In case of withdrawal midway through the research period, please apply to the Director of the Research Institute for Electronic Science one month before the expected withdrawal date (please submit the designated Withdrawal Form).
Regardless of withdrawal during the semester, tuition for that period must be paid in full.
- An international student may request to change the date of admission if he or she cannot enter Japan before the date of admission due to a delay in the issuance of a certificate of eligibility for reasons not attributable to the student himself/herself or due to immigration restrictions imposed by the Japanese government. (A request form to change the period will be provided).
