| 概要 | Thermal diode is a device that has different thermalconductance between the positive and negative directions. This can be realized in a non-uniform materials in which the conductivity depends on position and temperature. We have made a trial device for thermal diode by using Co oxides, and find a thermal rectifying coefficient of 1.43. In this seminar, we briefly review the physics of thermal diode and discuss new-type devices using phase transitions. |
